Review on ELING Tachometer Gauge 0 3000RPM Backlight by Trey Gilbert

This is the second one I've bought. The first one was installed on my sailboat about 6 months ago and it's still working. Exposed to the elements 24 hours a day, it still looks new. Note that the built-in digital hour meter only works when the tachometer has power, not just when the engine is running. A 2nd tachometer was ordered for a friend's sailboat where I was installing a new motor. Installation was easy (basic instructions included) and calibrating my diesel engine was a breeze. Can be used with either generator input or flywheel sensor. I used a handheld photo tachometer to compare the calibration and actual engine RPM. The average error was found to be 10 rpm over the engine speed range. Not bad! The choice of backlight color (red or orange) is also nice. I think it's good value for money.
