Many cooks will tell you that the ingredients for recipes can only be measured by weight, not cups and tablespoons, so a kitchen scale is an important tool. There are other things you can use it for e.g. B. for the postage or the weight of jewelry. This scale does it for you. I don't have exact calibration weights but I have compared them to the known weights of several American coins and they appear to weigh within the stated tolerances. For most of us, this level of accuracy is more than adequate, but if you want scientific accuracy, you should look elsewhere. Other than that, it's a useful and handy scale, and I give it a thumbs up.
