I can't believe I'm seeing dish sponges. My wife and I have a LONG TERM disagreement about washing soap off of sponges. She insists on rinsing them until all signs of soap are gone, which I consider a waste of soap and water. For years we washed the daylight out of our sponges and after a week or two we were still left with a smelly sponge. So when we got them, the first thing I did was put one on the sink in the small drying rack my wife has and one I put under the sink in the newly installed door sponge holder. She continued to use the top one and flushed as usual while I quickly flushed and tossed into my holder. ONE MONTH LATER: Both lips look amazing. It has a small stain from the tomato sauce but other than that there is no smell. Mine was awesome, it looked great and didn't smell either. But the best part is that I only fill it with soap once in a while, I just give it some water and squish it a few times and a nice lather comes out. Sponges are excellent, we will buy more. It's probably going to be another month, but I'm determined to win this one and end up with a sponge. Let's see.
