I've worn them for ages and have never had any problems. I like wearing a case when gaming without a dock (but I'm the guy who uses these protectors for everything, including my 3ds, so it really depends on preference). It's fairly thin and breathable, doesn't feel too heavy or bulky, and also securely holds the stickers I put on the back of my Switch.
