I wanted to love them

I really wanted to like these speakers and I was really looking forward to getting them and putting them up. When I placed whatever I wanted, sat down and cranked them up, I was disappointed. When I was growing up and living at home, we had a set of Logitech speakers with a subwoofer and a volume/bass control (there was no aux input back then). They were great speakers, amazing bass, and cost about $80 (2004). So, given the price and performance of these speakers, I assumed the quality would be close to Logitech's, but I was wrong. I'm struggling to find these Logitech speakers but they don't seem to make them anymore. What I like about these speakers is that the overall sound quality isn't too bad. The speakers are a decent size, not too small and not too big. I like the satellite volume control with power/auxiliary/headphone/bass switch. The old Logitech system I grew up with had a similar setup. Now for the bad and important for me. NO BASS! If you're used to regular computer speakers without a subwoofer, you probably won't mind or notice, but while I was expecting room-shattering bass, I was sadly disappointed. The existing bass is muffled at best. For what is advertised/described in the specs, I really expected better. For this reason I will be returning the speakers. They don't cost $80. I did some more research and bought a $150 kit from Logitech and couldn't be happier. This system produces room-shattering bass that I was looking forward to.
