Wow! This subwoofer is everything I've ever wanted and needed for my home theater/music. I thought $500 was a ridiculous price but apparently it's worth it. It has incredible performance. There's a good, punchy, driving bass sound. And it goes low (19Hz) as promised. I hear things in my media that I never heard with my old subwoofers. However, some adjustments need to be made. You can't rely solely on your receiver's room calibration EQ. After that, you need to make adjustments. Don't leave the gain control on your subwoofer 12 hours after the room EQ. It is important to use the gain control to get the full power out of this subwoofer. Ignore the subwoofer level set by Room EQ and set the subwoofer level to -5 on the AVR and just use the gain control on the back of the subwoofer to adjust the volume to your liking. It is also recommended to add an additional 4 feet to subwoofer spacing after room EQ.
