Review on Winsor Newton Promarker Watercolor Marker Painting, Drawing & Art Supplies by Wendy Rodriguez

More than I expected!

I was looking for a great watercolor marker that is fade resistant but there aren't many on the market. I chose the Sky Tones set because it includes some of my favorite colors. One of the biggest problems with watercolor markers is that they usually keep a line under the dissolved paint after you move it with some water. From what others have said, it depends on the paper you use them on. This is not surprising, because even when painting with watercolors, the paper sometimes opens well, sometimes not. Surprisingly, on the cheaper Canson Mixed Media XL paper, the almost underline resolved itself in 3 brush strokes. I haven't wiped it to see if it continues to dissolve, and I haven't tested it on "good" cotton paper yet. The pale pink lives up to its name as it's very pale, but you can add some color if you wait for it to dry between coats and do another pass so as not to fully activate the bottom layer. They easily fit in a holdall and contain standalone watercolor paint that you can either apply directly to the page, move around, or blend on the page. They blend very well and I was able to achieve beautiful greens and purples with this set. If you're looking for wet fills and lots of color options, you're probably better off with a watercolor palette, but if you're looking to add a pop of color to your drawings or sketches, I'll definitely go for it. They are exactly what I was looking for and I highly recommend them.

Cons
