I had to remove the sockets that the normal mirrors were screwed into.

I wanted to send them back because they didn't fit. Then I found that all I had to do was remove the standard mirror feet from my '09 KLR 650. These mirrors screw into holes that the feet were screwed into very well. So far the mirrors are of good quality. happy customer
