Review on Ironing Premium Silicone Scorching Staining by Charley Prz

Are you kidding me? I've been ironing a variety of items from my laundry five days a week for 22 years: clothes, linens, etc. I always buy plain "silver" ironing covers. However, this one looked cute and got a great review, so I ordered it. It arrived yesterday and today (as always) I started ironing. With the ironing set (as always) on Hot Cotton I started with the blouse. As the iron went through the fabric of the blouse, it landed on a new cover. Instantly a brown ash bloomed and the air was filled with the smell of burning smoke. I was shocked! I took off my blouse and gently ran the iron over the other parts of the quilt. The burn marks reappeared and the same burnt smell. I put down the iron and folded some t-shirts on the board. Strangely, the cover became "sticky" and the t-shirt fabric didn't shift as usual. I removed the cover and finished ironing my old flimsy "silver" cover. Ridiculous - the only quality an ironing board cover should be and the only thing it can't! I'm sending it back so the sellers can see what happened.
