I have a 2013 Harley Iron 883. My weight is 84 kg and I ride this bike alone without a passenger. This is my city bike. I was never happy with the rear suspension because it had very little travel, and no matter what I did with the suspension setup, the shock continued to drop easily over medium-level road bumps and bounce up my spine. In the end I decided (after reading all the reviews) to purchase and install 13" Progressive 412-4065B rear shocks on the back of the bike. In short: THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER MADE! a week after Buying home to Japan (ordered from the US on AMAZON.com). I was surprised at the efficiency. The packaging was fantastic. The package includes a spring tension wrench, a tube of lube and rack adapters/spacers that fit my bike. Installation went well flawless - it took 1/2 hour During the installation process you need to make sure you have a flat scissor jack to place under the bike frame to raise the rear high enough for the rear wheel to be off the ground This is from crucial as 13" shocks raise the rear end higher compared to the stock shock position. The trip was a lot better . Not only because of the significantly softer handling, the absence of any sags and the increased suspension travel, but also because of the bike's overall stability. Improved iron handling and clearance under the footpegs when cornering. A HUGE improvement over stock shocks. Speed bumps, railway tracks and asphalt pits - I come here without fear of being hit. The whole experience from ordering, delivery, installation to improving bike performance: five stars.
