My daughters love her dresses but we have noticed that they shrink a bit after washing and the white fabric underneath doesn't shrink until the dress itself resulted in about 1/2-1 inch visible from below. We are planning to hem it shorter but this is not the quality I would expect from a store bought garment. The fabric above has withstood the ravages of my youngest daughter without a stain. or tears, so it's worth it in the end.
