On black sandals, the closures are painted black.
I received my son's sandals in the mail yesterday and on the first day the paint on the black buttons started peeling. I thought the latches were black plastic but turned out to be white latches painted black. I'm a little disappointed, but I'll keep them anyway. I think I'll just buy my own black knobs to replace them.

- My granddaughter wears them every day. So cute and comfy. Super light.
- The button broke when I first tried them on my son. I had to super glue them to try and get a few uses out of them.
