I followed the instructions and tested with water before use! We made sure it's safe before using it in the water! My brother's phone didn't even try to turn on after this "waterproof case" got wet! If you have an iPhone, you know it's expensive and water damage is never covered! We tried to blow it out; put it in rice! Nothing helped, so now my brother had to give up this great plus for a new iPhone! The best advice is to buy a gopro! It's annoying to lug around, but it's worth it! I would love to try this product myself!
