D-ring attachment point non-welded closed - open

Great collar until it breaks. The D-ring flexed, allowing the leash to come loose. Working with a 78 lb (20" neck) dog who likes to stretch a bit on walks. Seems like a couple of really good lunges opened up the D-ring. Shame. Loved the very wide (2 in ) section to better distribute the pressure on the neck If they can fix the D-ring issue I will buy it again.
