Great for calls. Suppresses most of the surrounding noise, picks up your voice clearly, hears the interlocutor perfectly. But it has very weak performance in the high ranges or in the low frequency range, so it's a poor choice for movies, video games or music. Try listening to a symphony and you'll hear crystal clear vocals, trumpets and violins, but everything else will be tinny and faded. The volume control is a separate cable extension, connects the stereo mini jack to itself and then requires a USB connection. Use the volume slider. My phone only has a mini jack so I can't use the built in volume control. Instead I have to manage it from my device. The headband is comfortable enough to wear for a few hours, but I think you should take it off for a few minutes after 3 hours. She has a very specific goal and does a great job at that task, but poorly at everything else.
