Review on ASUS VA32UQ Monitor FreeSync DisplayPort HDR10 31.5", 3840X2160P, Built-In Speakers, Blue Light Filter, Ultrawide Screen, HDMI, HD by Shea Hughes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In the end I returned it.

I narrowed my choices down to the Asus VA32UQ or the BenQ EW3270U when both retailed for $350. In the end I chose Asus and was very disappointed. The different colors seemed to change a bit and after 3 days of use it started turning off in the middle of computer use and the only way to get it working again was to unplug it and plug it back in. Over the course of several hours of use, I had to repeat this process many times. At that point I repackaged it and sent it back for another model (LG 32UL500W as the BenQ model was out of stock). I haven't had any of the issues I've had with Asus with the new LG. Most Asus products are of pretty good quality based on the 25+ years I've been using them, so I just blamed it on getting dirty (that happens with all brands from time to time).

Pros
  • Love the extra size
Cons
  • There are some issues when connecting to a Mac. The HDMI port does not have an efficient connection.
