Review on CASIO AE-1200WHD-1A quartz watch, alarm clock, stopwatch, countdown timer, waterproof, display backlight by Wiktor Wojciechowski ᠌

A little bit not what I expected, generally fine.

The main drawback of this watch is a stupid display that only shows useful information for one third, the rest of the display is occupied by unnecessary garbage such as small analog clocks on which you still can’t see anything and world maps with time zones. I think that this place could be used more rationally. The second drawback that really periodically pisses me off is the world time function. Tell me, why does the average person need to know the time in all time zones? It is quite enough if the clock had just a second time (dual time) in case of travel to another time zone. Moreover, this world time function is assigned to the clock button, which is sometimes spontaneously pressed and I was somewhat confused in time. I thought that I see the time in Hong Kong, but in fact it was the time of a different time zone. In general, a useless function from which harm is more than good. Very small font of the date - you have to peer to understand what date it is today. I had a chance to wear a watch of this model in the version with an iron bracelet and a silver color of the watch and a black model with a plastic strap. Both are quite comfortable on the hand. Silver ones have a drawback - the watch case peels off. The general impression is that this watch "didn't work" for me because of the above shortcomings. I liked the more budget W-800s much more. do not have the disadvantages that are in the AE-1200.

Pros
  • Accuracy, comfortable on the wrist, there is a countdown timer (which is rare in budget Casio), a loud alarm clock and an hourly signal, the bracelet is good.
Cons
  • A small date, world time, in the timer and stopwatch mode does not show the current time, the case peels off from time to time.
