Since receiving this umbrella we have had several heavy downpours and winds in Texas and I have to say it has performed flawlessly. I needed an umbrella that was small enough for my work backpack but strong enough that I didn't have to replace it too soon. I spent $16.99 on this item (more than I normally spend on an umbrella, but went for it because the cheap flimsy stuff was piling up) and got 2 days of free prime shipping. I was happy with the quality right from the start. The aesthetics are good too. I really like the duality of the umbrella's appearance: a masculine black exterior and a dreamy and optimistic blue sky inside. The fins have feathers which I've never seen in a cheap umbrella I've bought in the past. and the whole construction feels heavy for such a personal umbrella. This is ideal for one user, but two may need to get comfortable to stay dry. Overall I am very happy with the performance, presentation, looks and durability of the product.
