I only got this cable because the USB hub I have by my bed had a Type-C connector and I wanted to use it. I bought it for my iPhone 8 and was surprised at how fast it charges. I charged my phone as it was about 40% charged just before showering. After leaving the bathroom after 20 minutes, I found that it was about 88% charged. Much faster than my lighting USB cable. Now this is my phone cord and I'm taking my Type-C wall plug with me. The cable is of excellent quality, thick but flexible. Both ends fit securely into the matching connectors I have and the velcro is perfect for travel and doesn't get tangled. Highly recommend buying if you're looking for a Type-C cable for lighting and don't want Apple's price premium to go up. .
