These shoes are for my daughter's christening. Hooray, she's getting baptized a little late, but better late than never. 8 and they fit perfectly. Yes, they run big, so order one size smaller. The bottom sole is rubber to keep it in place as you walk. The upper of the shoe has an elastic band that helps keep the flats in place. The trims are tight and there are no sharp edges. They are so festive and look really high quality. They sparkle beautifully. I chose to buy online because they are beautiful and great value. I'm sure I'd buy them anywhere to find these shoes and who knows if I'll find them. It was so convenient. i love shoes
