The slicer does its job. Well built, but assembled from multiple pieces, resulting in excess material from cutting collecting in the grooves and gaps between components. This makes cleaning a little harder than a simpler design. However, the simple design does not allow for so many features. So my wife plans to use this food slicer for more complex cuts and a simple device for simple cuts. This one can do most of the slicing work itself, but expect some extra cleanup.
