Review on 🎡 Jensen 3-Speed Stereo Turntable with Integrated Speakers by Ryan Koser

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I didn't need another hobby like collecting records. BUT

this player completely changed my mind. The unit was well packaged and all moving parts were secured with tape. The needle (already installed but covered with a plastic sleeve) and adapter 45 were included. Mama's records sound great and we had a blast dancing around the house on Mother's Day! The auto stop feature works well with their recordings from the 70's and 80's. I've played with the tone control, which changes the tone slightly, but all albums sound better with it turned all the way up. The maximum volume is quite loud, but if I wanted a fuller sound I could plug in my own speakers. However, I think this is not 100% necessary. In any case, there is also an additional pitch controller (slider), but I haven't had to use it yet. All in all, this is a good buy when in doubt. The price for the starting block is unbeatable! Update 1: Make sure you place the player on a flat surface that doesn't wobble. This severely affects playback, especially with heavier recordings. I had issues with slow playback and it turned out my stand wasn't level (checked with a spirit level). Essentially, the turntable "pushed" the heavy vinyl record "uphill", causing the motor to spin more slowly. Again a little annoyance for the price. Update 2: This unit plays old vinyl very well. New, heavier vinyl. Not as much. The extra weight puts a strain on the motor and the speed is not constant. This results in wobbly noises immediately or after one or two turns. Buy a more expensive turntable when spinning new vinyl.

It works fine. Internal speakers do not turn off.
