EASY SELF PROGRAMMING - WORKS GREAT

Need an extra key for 2005 Toyota Sienna. Ordered a matching Revain 4D-67 transponder key for $8.95. As already mentioned, the key received did not contain a transponder chip for checkpoints. Decided to program the blank before cutting in case the programming fails and you want to return the key for a refund. However, it was easy to program myself on the first try by following these steps (according to internet research): (1) driver's side door closed; (2) Quickly put the master key into the ignition switch 5 times (the key after the 5 times); (4) Immediately remove the master key from the ignition switch and insert a blank spare key; (5) Waited about 1 minute for the security light to stop flashing (and it did); (6) Cleared the newly programmed spare key (the security light will flash again); (7) Insert the newly programmed spare key into the ignition switch and the security light will stop flashing (programming check passed). After the replacement blank has been successfully programmed, take the key to the parts service from the nearest Toyota dealer who cut the key with a special key code for my car (which I had deposited) After this the key was checked and it worked perfectly, opening the doors and starting the engine. Cost: less than $9. If the dealer did everything (purchasing the key and software) the estimated total cost would be over $100, a significant savings!
