This is a great solution to get another smart key. (NOTE: This only works if you programmed an original "master" key (we keep one in the safe), it worked on my 2005 Highlander. I have not tried another spare key). My solution was to buy a plain door key, open the plastic cover and take out the metal key, do the same for this key, it locks.
