Review on 🐈 Enhance Your Cat's Freedom with Pet Mate Cat Doors by Patricia Muller

I cannot fault the performance of this unit as it works as advertised. However, the design is a bit out of my cat's liking. My cat uses it to go outside but not to get in, which is why the cat meows outside the door. I think what happened is that the cat door abuts the door from the inside, making it easier for him to put his head in. But on the outside, there is a large 4 inch "tongue" platform that comes out from the bottom of the cat door, so the cat has to step onto that platform first, which feels uncomfortable and unnatural, and it's made of hard make plastic with nothing to do on it. sink your claws into it. I put velcro on this platform but the cat still refuses to pass. He noses the door and unbolts it, but he just won't go through. He was used to a much larger door. with rubber tab in front so this door looks really small and tunnel like and my cat is by no means big, i really don't understand why the designers made it that way, what's the point? I may call Cat Mate for an answer and then update this review with more information.
