Review on πŸ‘¨ CHEF iQ Smart Pressure Cooker: 10 Cooking Functions, Built-in Scale, 1000+ Presets, and App-Enabled for Foolproof Guided Recipes by Stoner Fulton

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Requires a software update.

I'm a Kickstarter backer. I think it's a great product but mine acts like a good instapot. I was only able to connect the jar to the internet once and was never able to connect it again. I followed the instructions and still can't connect to the internet. This product needs to be able to connect to the internet to take advantage of its awesome features that everyone else is talking about, otherwise it's just a fancy instapot. Also, the automatic calculations aren't very accurate, when I use calculators the chicken breast is overcooked. It's not that I don't understand the technology either, I'm a chemical engineer using much more sophisticated equipment. If the updates work, I would like to change my rating. Update 1: I had another issue: the pot wouldn't let me use the pressure cook setting. Writes that the pan is too hot and you cannot continue cooking. The pressure cooking setting was the main reason I bought this so this is a real disappointment and why not am I upgrading this to a one star rating from my original two stars. Update 2: After the last update, support contacted me, repotted me and told me how they updated the app to work better with Android phones. I really like a few of the recipes I've tried, it just needed a little tweaking to make it taste better. When it works, it's great and way better than Instapot. Not sure if it's worth 200 but there are still some kinks to fix and that's why I gave it 4 stars. I got it for 100 on a Kickstarter deal and I think it's great for that price to be a beta tester of sorts.
