I bought this unit for my bedroom because I sleep with two dogs and sometimes they smell. I have it in my room 24/7 on automatic mode. It filters the room air excellently and the sensor detects odors excellently. The sleep setting is very quiet, and I like that the lights go out on this setting since I have them next to my bed. The fan is very quiet on low settings and makes a fan noise when cranked to the max. Already on the second day I felt a difference in the air and I no longer smell like a puppy. I am very happy with my purchase and will likely purchase a smaller unit for my office space.
