Well I really like these shoes but I would advise you to read Joel Schumann's report of 12/26/2017 on the subject of changing shoes as the shoes don't stay on my dog's paws as long as I would like. for example due to problems with the belt. I will change shoes. The second important thing to know is that you really should measure your dog's paws. My dog is 10 pounds and I measured her feet. His front feet fit 1 1/4 inch shoes, but his back feet are 1 inch, so the smallest shoe size doesn't fit him very well. Hence the Klett modification. These shoes are pretty good and I walked in them in the rain. I wouldn't say they're waterproof but they definitely help with mud and I'm comfortable wearing them with boots. However, I wouldn't advise letting your dog walk them if they're dipping them in puddles.
