Review on MTM Hydro PF22 2 Auto Detailing by Michael Cleveland

This foam gun was definitely an improvement over my first much cheaper foam gun. I use it to wash three of our cars and a 40ft Class A RV. I finally got the chance to use it last weekend so here are my thoughts. BENEFITS: This gun produces thick, heavy foam. Also, he seems mean about dosing/using the soap in the bottle. I filled the bottle about half full thinking I would use it all to wash the roof and sides of our RV and then our other two cars (a small crossover and a minivan). nope! I love that you can choose a horizontal or vertical fan by simply rotating the ring; There is no need to rotate the entire cannon. I have over a quarter bottle left. I love that the soap concentration knob has audible and tactile detents that also help hold the setting in place in case someone accidentally grabs and moves the knob. The wide base prevents tipping over. CONS: It takes about 2-3 seconds from the moment you pull the trigger to the moment the foam gun starts shooting soapy foam. Not a big deal, but watch out because the flow pattern changes from a narrow jet to whatever spread pattern you choose. Speaking of distribution patterns: I wish it wasn't so easy to change regulation. I haven't looked at the nozzle assembly in detail, so I'm not sure if there's a way to tighten it a little more for more friction. I would like the opening of the bottle to be larger as you need to be careful when pouring whatever soap you use. All quibbles aside, I'm very happy with this foam gun!
