Plugged this into my gate and for the most part it works. It was easy to install. This helps my wooden fence gate, which is about 5 feet wide, to move very well. It also helps prevent gate sag. The problem is that if it meets resistance there is enough free space in the wheel to curve towards the gate and the wheel will snag on the wooden picket fence causing the wheel to lock up. up and "glide" over the concrete. Just before my gate closes, there is a slight bump in the road between the driveway and the concrete patio decks. This is where it ties in and there is now a 6 inch black slip mark on both the patio and door panel. This requires a smaller pulley (which I don't recommend) or more clearance between the bracket and pulley post so it doesn't catch on the fence when it flexes with little resistance.
