I've been wanting shorts with pockets to use for hiking, and these short are perfect. I am a curvy size 12 and, based off of other reviews, ordered an extra large. I might have been able to get away with a large, and I'm considering ordering an extra pair anyway and may try the large. The high waist is great for my quarantine belly and the length is just what I was looking for in hiking shorts (I'm 5'2" and they are about 2 inches above my knee). They don't slide, or roll, and the zipper pockets on both sides are perfect for holding my phone in one and extras in the other. The only small complaint I have is that I can feel where the zippers are on my hips. I rarely notice it though and love wearing these shorts!
