Not as good as I expected. I read the reviews before buying and I expected a better result than I received. Usually some of the worst reviews on Amazon are user error or a misunderstanding of the products purchased. So I'm skeptical about them. In this case. I am using LED bulbs, they are listed as dimmable. This transformer socket dimmer dimmed the light of the lamp, but still caused a very annoying "flickering" of the light at a certain point when the rotary control was adjusted. If you turn the knob slowly to stop the "jitter" effect, you may hear a hum/buzz in the lamp. This may work well with traditional incandescent bulbs, but REALLY WILL NOT WORK WITH LED. Trust these reviewers. You're right . I was skeptical, ordered anyway and wasted my money. Later I ordered a 3-way lamp holder here on Amazon, connected it to my lamp and bought a LED 3-way light bulb. Now I have my lamp's desired low level of illumination for regular use, as well as the possibility of brighter lighting when needed.
