Does not fit in tall table lamps that require a harp. This applies to molded CFL lamps. A new LED that looks like a lightbulb might fit the socket just fine, but be absolutely sure the lightbulb is dimmable, if it's not dimmable it won't work. I bought one of these to try on my bulbs. I use 60w incandescent bulbs because LEDs tire my eyes and blue light is the problem. I also set my computer, phone etc to dim at nightfall to reduce LED glare. For this purpose, Windows 10 has a program called Night Light that gives the screen a yellow tint to block out blue light.
