Okay, I ordered six pairs of these. I swear the button that says 39-40 also indicates this size fits US size 8-9. I received them in the mail and they were a size 7-8. But some were marked 7-8 and fit me well, while others were marked 7-8 on the strap and size 5-6 on the bottom. All in all I kept three pairs that fit and have to return three pairs that don't match. Don't buy online. It's not worth the price. Trust me you will pay with this disappointment. Find a place to shop at the store. But I have to say that J Crew makes really great flip flops that last for years. $15 for a couple. And they are true to size. So go with them instead.
