My son has a high instep and this shoe fits him very well without being uncomfortable. People complain about the smell, but it goes away if you air your shoes during the day. Typical of any novelty with rubber or plastic. I bought him at least 6 pairs because he likes to wear them without socks and the insoles can only be washed so many times or he's just outgrown them. were for adults but I will be buying them until my son outgrows the sizes available.
