Review on Lakewood LSF1610BR-BM 16-inch Stand Fan with Remote Control in Black by Carey Kocik

Bought an old model of this fan 5 years ago. Has been working without problems for 5 years. I wanted to buy one for another room and bought this one. I was a bit slow to get it out of the box and when I opened it it was past the 30 day revain period. When I finally assembled it, it didn't work. The fan worked manually but the remote control didn't work. The remote worked on my old fan but not on this one. I called the company, it's holmes. They told me that the removed part of this fan is not guaranteed. That as long as it can be operated manually, it is not broken. I told him it was hell. I didn't buy a manual fan, I bought a remote controlled fan. So they agreed to replace it. I loved it until realizing they replaced it with a Holmes fan which has the exact same problem. This is not a real remote control that does not work. As I said, the remote works great with my old fat. It's the electronics on the fan that aren't picking up the signal from the remote control. And that seems to be a problem for both fans of the Lakewood brand and fans of Holmes. Now it remains to buy a fan.
