I've been using this carbon impregnated foam pad in my Fluval FX6 for 2 years now. The water in my aquarium is always crystal clear. I change my pad once a month, add some loose carbon to my knee, tie it at the end and trim any extra tights. A box of 10 pairs costs a few bucks and gives me 20 aquarium bags to add carbon or whatever else I need to add. I've used Fluval impregnated foam pads and they work great, but I've never tried the cheaper pads that don't have a name but are cheap. I can't speak for any pad other than this Fluval. I always believe you get the quality you pay for. If this review was helpful to you in any way, please let me know by clicking "Useful". Thanks very much! :)
