Rigid Installation Filter
The new Ford Escapes require you to fold the filter for easy installation. This filter is quite stiff and pressure resistant, making it quite difficult to install compared to a standard filter. However, this is not a standard filter. So I would have given the standard filter 4 stars instead of 2 or 3 if it was just as difficult to install. Better quality and filtration must go hand in hand with harder materials and therefore a more complex structure. Honda has the right idea with its filter pan liners. Deal with it Ford
