Review on 🎡 Enhance Your Bass Experience with SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System (4-Pack)! by Jongkol Amphaiphit ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

Perhaps the shortcomings I have identified are a direct continuation of its merits. Before that, I had a Velodyne EQ-Max 10 FI subwoofer, quite musical for its price, worked for 6.5 years and whistled in different ways even in standby mode. I decided to change for greater musicality to a closed box. I was rather satisfied, but I realized that for the perfect happiness of the SVS SB-1000 it is better to take a pair and make an x.2 system. The old and new subwoofers are in the same place, but Velodyne, although it gave a more diffuse and mushy bass, filled the room so that it was not possible to determine the source, no matter at what frequency. In SVS, the higher the frequency, the clearer where the bass comes from. I now have a crossover cutoff on the receiver at 80 Hz, which is almost good, but when it needs to add bass to the upper level of the speakers, then there is already a cutoff of 100-120 Hz. In cinema it doesn't matter, but in music sometimes there is dissonance, plays from above, and bass from below to the right. In general, if all the speakers, according to their capabilities, allow them to be cut off by 80 Hz, then it is tolerable with 1 subwoofer, but for greater balance they need a pair. I have nowhere to put the second one, although I have already begun to think about these. :) If you evaluate it as a whole, then I still won by taking GL, because the quality of the bass is much higher, both in movies and in music. I heard new notes in old compositions, and this is the ultimate goal of any upgrade. :) In terms of power, this subwoofer is quite sufficient for a standard living room in a socket of 18-20 sq. M. If the room is bigger, the SB-2022 is probably better. I have a 9.1 system based on Focal acoustics. Bottom Chorus series 800, top series Dome, receiver marantz 7012.

Pros
  • Collected, accurate and powerful and bass with modest dimensions
Cons
  • Bass source in some cases localized in space
