Review on Adapter / adapter Apple Lightning (M) - mini jack 3.5 (F), 0.1 m, white by Wiktor Fokt ᠌

The product is usable, I expected a bit more.

It all depends on the purpose of the purchase. If you bought a new iPhone and found that there is no jack for your favorite headphones, do not rush to buy this "adapter". Because this is not an adapter at all, but a full-fledged (well, how to say) DAC that converts digital to analog (for transmission to headphones). The loss in quality is severe, the power level is none. If you want to continue listening to music in decent quality over the wire, buy a good external DAC. Now it is no longer just huge boxes the size of another phone. You can buy a small wick like AudioQuest Dragonfly Cobalt (this is a top for a significant amount of money, but there are also good DACs much cheaper) and get high. All good.

Pros
  • The adapter is microscopic, the wire is soft, there is no risk of breaking the connector in the phone (if without fanaticism). Supports microphone on headset. Inexpensive (for original Apple technology, this is really a penny), if it gets damaged, it’s not a pity to throw it away and buy a new one. Ideal for long hours of talking on your favorite wired headset with a 3.5mm jack.
Cons
  • In principle, you can simply forget about listening to music with this adapter, it cuts the frequencies thoroughly. Anything outside of the midrange (human voice) will simply pass you by or be so unnatural that you won't know what kind of instrument it was at all (it turns any drums into a knock on a cardboard box, basses into a dull boom, a violin into a squealing, etc.). I strongly do not recommend listening to music with this adapter - only talk on the phone.
