I have used hand wash and bath and shower gel. that there are other products that you can buy cheaper, that other products smell the same. I can't say whether other products smell the same. It may or may not be true, but it doesn't matter. It's easy to argue that there are cheaper options. This is definitely true. This soap is a luxury item in my opinion, but that's not the main thing. The great thing about these soaps is not only how good they smell, but how long they last. For example, this morning I used Russian Skin shower gel. It is now 6:30 p.m. My hand still smells good. Sure, the smell isn't as strong after a full day, but if my skin still smells good after a full day, THAT counts. It speaks of value. Another thing I want to say about the value proposition is that in my experience, another great thing about these soaps is that you don't need a lot to smell good. I think a little goes a long way. It lathers great and I use less soap than other products. Both the longevity of the scent and the amount of soap you need to use make this soap totally worth making. Yes, they are more expensive than others. But for me the value for money is absolutely right.
