Review on 💾 Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s with NCQ 16MB Cache 3.5" Internal Bare Drive - ST3500413AS by James Vachon

So, a few weeks ago it went on sale for about $46, and since I needed extra space, I decided to buy (or rather order). I read reviews about it before I bought it and people said it wasn't very reliable but since my main hard drive had such comments and it worked perfectly for me I thought hey my other worked independently of other people. ' Comments, you should too. God how wrong I was. For the first few days I hardly used it because I played carefully not to lose anything if it died on me. Well I started using it more and more and I started recording my game videos right on it with Fraps which shouldn't affect anything. Everything was going smoothly until I was recording for about an hour when my second hard drive (this one) decided to just crash me. I closed everything and checked my computer; the disk was not displayed. A little concerned, I restarted the computer and checked again, this time the second hard drive appeared. I didn't think about it much, but I definitely kept it in mind. Since then the hard drive has "frozen" or something like that about 3 times and let me tell you, it's getting pretty annoying. Today I copied about 228GB of video from my external hard drive to a second drive (this one) and after about 30 minutes of copying the drive failed again. I really don't know what's going on. I don't know if that's how I set it up or if the hard drive itself just sucks. Whatever it is, it's not good. Bottom Line: Just buy another drive and save time and money. Don't think like me. Read the reviews carefully and make the right choice so you don't write a bad review like I did. giggle
