Review on Pro Ject Pre Box S2 Digital by Bridgette Andrada

I have been collecting headphones and accessories for 4 years. 5 different pairs from Audeze, 2 pairs from Focal and other types from Fostex and Sennheiser. Deckard's own DAC/amplifier, iFi Micro iDSD BL, iFi Pro iCan and popular SMSL 1st Gen DAC (ESS 9018) with added mains power. Fuhrman Elite Air Conditioning and iFi AC Noise Suppression and AQ Interconnects with DBS 72V. Tidal MQA (HiFi) is the most typical source. Mention the hardware to set the stage for my promise that these are SIMPLY the best $400 I've spent enjoying Tidal (especially Tidal MQA) with my headphones - WOW! Definitely recommend injecting and adding the extra $50 for an iFi Linear Power Wart, but seriously, it's great to have introduced MQA with hardware and safe listening. For the first time I'm hearing all files on the same level - and I believe my return are listening sessions that are exactly how the artists and sound engineers intended for me. The HIGHEST recommendation for the money. If you don't want to buy a Mytek or similar multi-thousand dollar dedicated DAC, this is a smart choice.
