I have an ASUS AiMesh WiFi system and one of the router nodes in my grandchildren's room. This node is connected to the main router in my office via Ethernet. I ran a wire from the node in my grandson's room to their entertainment center and connected a gigabit switch to it. I also ran an ethernet cable straight from the playstation to the router as this device gets a lot of use and slows down other devices when connected via wifi. The switch allows both grandkids to connect via Ethernet on separate ports, so they don't compete for bandwidth. With this cable, my only grandson was able to connect his laptop via Ethernet instead of WiFi. It's now approaching 700Mbps download speeds (I have gigabit service) rather than the much slower Wi-Fi speeds it had. All are happy!
