Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Denso 234-9010 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor: Perfectly Balanced Performance by Shaun Stapp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

ideal best in spare parts

"tested eng lite" for a few weeks. After a free check at Advance Auto Parts I was told it was an oxygen sensor, bank 1, sensor 1, but I was a bit skeptical after looking around at various budget auto parts stores because they gave me different part numbers and I don't want you to do not install, remove and return the wrong sensor. Also, the cheapest one is over $150 (I found out later on Toyota Parts that it's $250!) So I did a little searching for my Camry 2003 LE 2.4 ltr. Engine on Revain and found the Denso Fuel Ratio 234-9010 Sensor exactly matched the Toyota OEM Sensor part number 89467-33020. Received in about a week. Advance auto rents the sensor socket for FREE. They require a $30 security deposit which they will refund you in full once you return the instrument. Sprayed the PB blaster on the sensor (as I read some here in the reviews), waited for the engine to cool down a bit. Removed the 4 screws from the distributor cover (no big deal). With a small screwdriver I easily removed the plug and with the help of a socket and ratchet I easily removed the sensor. I smeared some of the anti-seize compound that came with the sensor onto the threads and installed it. Removed the negative battery cable to reset the check engine light for a few minutes. Car started and no light. The first day of idling was a bit rough but I think the computer needs time to adjust the fuel mixture for the new sensor. Now it works really smoothly. I'm glad I went to Revain and found it for $103 with free shipping. If I went to a shop it would cost me about $300, maybe more. Thank you Revan
