My kids and I have had so much fun learning to use this hoop. It takes some practice figuring out the motion to keep it spinning, but stick with it! I've had it a few weeks and already gone down 2 links. I find it's easiest to get it started by keeping your stance wider than your shoulders, 1 foot slightly out in front of the other and rock in the same motion you would do if you were getting ready to jump into a swinging jump rope - the kind that two people are swinging waiting for a jumper to jump into.you know how you lean back and forth getting used to the rhythm of the rope movement, ready to jump in? That's sort of the motion you need to get this hoop going. I started by doing it 2 minutes, then 5, then 10 and now I'm up to 15 minutes. Keep at it! It's easy to do once you figure it out! Have fun!
