The thing is very quiet and very powerful. I got it for my 32 gallon bio cube. It does a good job of moving water. It does a good job of making waves. The controls are easy to use. You hold the button while you feed the fish and it will turn off for ten minutes and then turn back on automatically. It is possible to install another one and configure them to work together. I can't believe how quiet it is here. I literally have to try to hear it.
