I bought the Roku players in August 2012, May 2015 and this new Stream Stick+ in 2018. When I had a problem activating the new Streaming Stick+, I received a number to "Contact support toll free for immediate activation". I called the number and was told that in order to activate this third device I would have to pay $70 to have a PREMIUM account as I had already registered two other Roku devices. I told them I don't need and don't need a PREMIUM account. I asked a support rep to deactivate the first Roku I bought in 2012 and then I only had 2 devices registered to my account. I've been told that even if I (1) deactivate the previous Roku player or (2) register a new account, I still have to pay $70.00 to register my Streaming Stick+. Here's how Roku rewards it. loyal customer by charging them a $70 fee to activate more than 2 of their Roku devices! So not only do you have to pay for the device itself, you have to pay an additional $70 to use it! I hope this review will make other potential buyers aware of Roku's new loyalty policy. patty
