I bought these to save on the amount of product I used in my face masks. Using only my hands to apply was wasting a lot of product down the drain, and I figured using a regular brush would be just as ineffective as the product would get stuck in the bristles. Given such a low price for 2 applicators, I took a chance. Actual application is quite effective on large areas like cheeks and forehead. I find it a bit difficult in the T-zone of my face, so sometimes I use my fingers as an extra help to smooth it there. It also took me a few uses before I actually got the best result. The applicator is too smeared in my opinion; I often feel like I'm just applying the product to a new area on my face instead of spreading it evenly. Using a combination of tapping motions and light brush strokes gives the best results in my opinion. If you are looking for a cheap alternative to conventional brushes (or hands!), you should at least try them.
