Walked through Yellowstone National Park, Devil's Tower and the Badlands. It worked great. I've rarely been on flat or level surfaces and it was easy to set up and very stable. I didn't start in the manual to describe the process of converting it into a monopod, I just put it on my leg. I'm not crazy about my head. With a Nikon D7000 DSLR and an 18-200mm zoom lens, it doesn't stay in place unless I press it really hard and then it's hard to undo. I'll try Bogen's head. I was able to easily attach it to my Lowepro Slingshot Edge 250 AW, a secure, thin, smart and protective strap for a compact DSLR or DJI Mavic Pro.
